Membership

At Shomrai Shabbos-Chevrah Mishnayos, we pride ourselves as a Shul that provides a wide range of davening, learning, chessed and social opportunities and a vibrant Kehillah with a warm, welcoming membership.

The past five years have been of transition and growth for our Shul. We are excited to experience the entering, not only a new building, but a new phase in our Shul’s existence. At this time of renewal, we are heartened to go m'chayil l'chayil and offer:

  • A daily variety of three Shacharis Minyanim, Mincha and two Maariv Minyanim. Each Shabbos we offer Hashkama, Youth, Young Members and Kehillah Minyanim.
  • Continuation and expansion of our adult education programming including daily shiurim offered throughout the week at our Weinbaum Learning Centre, women’s shiurim and guest speakers;
  • An active Shul Sisterhood with special events and functions throughout the year;
  • Comprehensive Shomrai Shabbos Youth programming for Shabbos, Yom Tov and extra curricular events, for ages ranging from 0 to 18, including a nursery program for pre-schoolers.
  • Stunning new Horenfeldt Social Hall with seating for up to 350 people. Meat and Dairy kitchens to accommodate all of our member’s simchas and functions;
  • Confidential consultation and guidance of our  Rav, Rabbi Yacov Felder, Shlita;
  • Social activities and programs for adults and young members, such as our annual BBQ, Chanukah and Purim Parties;
  • Kiddushim and Seudah Shleisheis every Shabbos;
  • Benefit of the Shul’s Chessed activities, including the Bikur Cholim, Hachnosses Orchim, Nichum Aveilim and Chevra Kadisha;
  • Access to an extensive library, including both Hebrew and English Seforim, and an extensive audio library;
  • Of course, you will be part of our close-knit and involved community.

It is only through the support and generosity of all our mispalalim that we are able to maintain our full range of communal services. Aside from the opportunity of benefiting from all that our Shul has to offer, by becoming a member of Shomrai Shabbos you are also helping to support and maintain one of Toronto’s foremost institutions of Torah, Tefillah, and Chessed.
